Our Captains

Captain Nick Betti
Captain and Cape Cod Outfitter Owner Nick Betti has fished Cape Cod Bay his whole life. He was taught to fish by his Dad and caught his first striper at the age of 8. Captain Nick and his dad Captain Bob used to take his 19-foot flats boat out to catch monster bass off Horseshoe Shoal in Barnstable Harbor.
Capt. Nick’s passion for fishing continued into his teen years. He worked on fishing charter boats out of Barnstable Harbor as a mate from the age of 15. At the age of 20, Capt. Nick got his 100-ton Captain’s license and started running boats. A life on the water continued to call to Capt. Nick, driving him to attend and graduate from Maine Maritime Academy with his USGC Unlimited Engineering License.
One of Capt. Nick’s greatest pleasures is leaving the dock before daylight and watching sunrise over Cape Cod Bay each Spring and Summer. He loves to see the light in people’s eyes when they catch their first striped bass or fish. Cape Cod Outfitters wants to help you create endless memories and stories of fishing on Cape Cod Bay.

Captain Taylor Lange
Captain Taylor Lange has been fortunate to have grown up on Cape Cod. From a very young age, he developed a passion, probably more accurately described as an obsession with fishing and the ocean. At age 6, he remembers a summer evening losing his first Striped Bass and running back to his house in tears.
Throughout high school and college, Capt. Taylor worked on a charter fishing boat out of Barnstable Harbor. As each season ended, he had vivid memories of sitting in classes in the middle of the winter, daydreaming of epic mornings chasing Striped Bass and Bluefin. It still gets his heart pumping to think about those “once in a lifetime” trips.
After embarking on a career in the financial world and realizing it wasn’t for him, he decided to obtain a USCG 50-Ton Masters License and return to his roots and do what he does best; catch fish and create lifetime memories for families and children.
Captain Nick Betti and Captain Taylor Lange have spent a lifetime fishing and boating together, creating memories and experiences they hope to share with their own children and families one day.
